It is the ideal material for these models however the material does soften enough to be formed at around 140 degrees Fahrenheit
There is some pitting around the cocking handle and the rod portion
The yellow paint is a close match to the original yellow color and is very lightly applied just like most of the originals I have seen that still had paint
