Pocket Ashtray with US Eagle Soviet The forward is dated MayInteresting vintage pocket ashtray with the US eagle on the top. It opens up and has a little space to put your cigarette. I have seen things like this frequently in Germany, but I have not seen them much in the US. I am guessing it is 1940s era, perhaps wartime, perhaps something postwar marketed to GIs. It is in good condition and doesn't look to have been used. There is some wear discoloration on the cigarette holder part. No maker marks.
